Garden Oya™ Watering Pot
An ancient form of localized plant irrigation, Oya™ Watering Pots are porous clay pots. When filled with water, moisture seeps out slowly through the walls to water your plants right at the roots.
Once established, the roots of your plants will instinctively grow towards the water source (you’ll need to surface water also for the first couple weeks). Over time the roots attach themselves to the outside of the Oya™ watering pot and draw water out as they need it. They take just what they need—no more, no less.
How Oya™ watering pots work
Simple to use: just bury them in your garden, fill them with water, and watch your plants grow!

Amazing!! Kept my plants very happy I didnt have to worry about running out to my plot to water as much!
It works really well when I dug it out there was a nice ball of roots around it so you know it really works! The plants were happy and flourished very well when growing around it!
Excited to try
Easy to use. Covers a decent area (medium size). Looking forward to this growing season.
What Plants Grow Best With Oya™ watering pots?
Oya™ watering pots work best with plants that have fibrous root system (adventitious root system) and an above ground canopy. The more creeping the roots, the better they’ll be able to grow to find the Oya™ pot.
We’ve seen the best results with:
Tomatoes, bell peppers, chilli peppers, potatoes (and most nightshades), cucumbers, salad greens, kale, herbs, edible flowers, gourds, melons, squash, beans, peas, corn…
Plants with taproot systems (one primary root) like carrots, beets, radishes, parsnips are less likely to work with Oya™ pots.
And to be clear, Oya™ pots aren’t used to sprout or germinate seeds. Seeds and transplants need to be surface watered until the root system has developed enough to reach for the Oya™ pot for regular (and efficient) watering.
